We've found a new story and we are back in production!

It's December 2016. We were supposed to be done by now. But life has a way of making plans for you, doesn't it?

When we thought we were mostly done with the filming a new story came to us. A story we couldn't pass on. It has to do with a character from Gaza...

We cannot tell you much more right now. First, I’m superstitious. And we’ve had stories fall apart in front of our eyes before… And second, because there are some security concerns and we need to make sure to protect our character. What I can tell you is that this story is incredible and we hope that it will give the film the spine and structure it has been lacking.

So, I’m going to Israel again!

The new story was never a part of the original plan or original budget… And we are putting up our personal funds to keep it going.

We are more than ever committed to making the film. And in the time of uncertainty, and growing political and social divides we feel that our film is more important and timely than ever before.

As International Documentary Association’s mission goes: "Documentary storytelling expands our understanding of shared human experience, fostering an informed, compassionate and connected world.”

We believe that the stories of clowns who transcend the boundaries and connect with all people without regard to religion, race, and background – are the stories that will help the world heal.

To help us get through the production, we are conducting a new fundraising campaign.

We're not doing it on Kickstarter this time because, first, we want the donations to be tax-deductible and second, we don't want to limit it in time. Our fiscal sponsor, the International Documentary Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. You can make a donation through their website or if it's a bigger amount, please mail us a check (there is a smaller processing fee...). Please email me and I'll send you information about who to write the check to and where to mail it.

Your help and support are vital to our project as we are an independent film and don't have any organization, channel, or agenda behind us. It's just us. And you! And together we can do it!

If you have any questions or ideas, or suggestions about funding... or clowning, or life on Mars, please don't hesitate to reach out to us! We're everywhere! Email, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram...

I will be in Israel from mid-January through early March to film the story. I will keep you posted about our progress as much as I can!
Winter in Jerusalem… Brrrrr… I’m psyched!

In the meantime - Happy Holidays! Stay tuned! And Thank You for your support!

Love,
Sasha
